Electroland

Cameron McNall is the Principal of Electroland LLC, an architect by training.

The scope of his work is wide and encompasses architecture, sculpture, film, sound, interactive design and installation art. He holds a Master of Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Design from UCLA. He has received awards across disciplines, including the Rome Prize in architecture, NEA Fellowships in Sculpture, and numerous awards in film including presentation in the Siggraph theater. He co-founded the interactive art and design firm Electroland in 2002.

Electroland is a pioneer in the creation of immersive interactive experiences. In the astonishingly short period of 12 years many aspects of what were experimental art projects have become commonplace aspects of social media and internet culture. Cameron McNall discusses several projects and how they may be understood in the context of a rapidly shifting technology landscape.
