Henriette Steiner is Associate Professor at the Section for Landscape Architecture and Planning at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark.
She graduated with a Ph.D. from the Department of Architecture at the University of Cambridge in 2008, after which she worked for five years as a Research Associate at the Department of Architecture at the ETH Zurich in Switzerland. She is author of The Emergence of a Modern City – Golden Age Copenhagen 1800–50 (Ashgate, 2014) and has co-edited several books of which the most recent are: Phenomenologies of the City – Studies in the History and Philosophy of Architecture (Ashgate, 2015) and Invisibility Studies – Surveillance, Transparencey and the Hidden in Contemporary Culture (Peter Lang, 2015).
